Legacy Photography

A fine art heirloom experience for the version of her that exists right now, before she becomes someone your grandchildren only know through your words.

There is a version of her

My mom is in the late stages of Alzheimer's.

And I wish I had more photos of her doing the things she loved.

  • Her hands in the kitchen, making the one meal she was known for. Saucy ribs and rice.
  • Her laugh, around her favorite people, when we visited Honduras.
  • Her dancing to marimba in the living room like no one was watching.

There are versions of her, whole, vibrant, completely herself, that we can no longer reach.

I can describe her to my daughters. The way she talked to her flowers. The sound of her sewing machine filling the house. The care she took packing gifts for family in Honduras, because giving was just how she loved.

But my girls will never see those things.

They will only know her through my words.

And often times words, even the most careful ones, will never be enough.

Why this exists?

For the last three years, I've had a front row seat to women building their own businesses and careers. And I kept noticing something about that same woman, she is also the one

  • Holding her family together
  • Caring for her mother
  • Organizing everything
  • Thinking ahead for everyone else.

She is building. And while she is building, her mother is aging.

And no one is stopping to document her, the woman whose legacy you are standing on.

Not because your mother doesn't matter.
  • Because there is never enough time.
  • Because life is loud.
  • Because the urgent always wins over the important.

That's why Legacy Photography by Wendoly was created.

Not as a product. As a promise,  that the woman who built the foundation your life stands on will be remembered as more than a story you struggle to put into words.

One day your children will look at these photos and finally understand where you got it from.

Who it's for?

More than a photo session. This is a celebration of the woman who laid the foundation your life stands on.

The Experience

Everything included in your

Founder Legacy Experience

Not a questionnaire. A real conversation. We talk about who she is, what she loves, how she moves through her day. This is where we find the moments worth capturing, before we ever pick up a camera.

Legacy Conversation

01

In her home, her room, her favorite place, wherever she is most herself. Unhurried. Observational. We document life as it actually looks. The ordinary moments that become everything.

A 90-Minute Session

02

A curated gallery of fully edited images delivered in an online gallery, for you to revisit, share, and keep forever. Every image chosen with intention. (Final image count may vary)

Curated gallery

03

Designed with care, printed at the quality level you'd want for your own mother. Something that sits on a shelf and gets handed down. This is the legacy object — the thing your grandchildren will hold.

Mother's Day 2026

This is for the woman building a legacy for her family, the daughter who keeps meaning to do something meaningful for her mother and hasn't. Not because she doesn't love her. Because she is building a business, raising a family, and holding everything together. If there is a woman in your life whose story deserves more than your words, this is for you.

What does the 90-minute session actually look like?

Is this only for mothers?

My mom isn't well. Can she still participate?

Who is this for?

What if she is uncomfortable in front of a camera?

Yes! and she may be the most important candidate. This experience is designed to meet her exactly where she is. We come to her space, at her pace, and photograph her doing the things that are still hers. There is no posing, no performance, no pressure. We are simply there to witness her.

This experience was built around the mother-daughter relationship, but it is open to anyone whose family has a legacy worth documenting. A grandmother, a father, a grandparent. If there is someone whose story deserves to be told in more than words, reach out and we will talk.

What if she is uncomfortable in front of a camera?

Unhurried and observational. We follow her lead, her kitchen, her chair, her garden, her routines. We capture the ordinary moments that become everything. If you would like to be in a few photos together, we make sure that happens too.

Who is this for?

That is exactly why we start with a pre-visit. Before the session I come to her space, meet her, and let her get comfortable with me. By the time we photograph, I am not a stranger. Most women forget the camera is there within the first few minutes.
