A fine art heirloom experience for the version of her that exists right now, before she becomes someone your grandchildren only know through your words.

You will tell her story. You already do. But every time you tell it, something within the story shifts,
just slightly.
And over generations, the real her begins to disappear.
Memory
Fades & Changes
The details you remember most clearly today will soften over time. The exact sound of her voice. The way she moved through a room. The look on her face when she thought no one was watching.
Language
Simplifies Her
Words reduce her to what can only be described. But the weight of her presence, the safety she created, the specific way she loved, those things live beyond language.
Perspective
Edits Reality
Your story of her is told through your eyes. Your children's version will be told through yours. Each generation receives a little less of who she actually was.

This is for the woman building a legacy for her family, the daughter who keeps meaning to do something meaningful for her mother and hasn't. Not because she doesn't love her. Because she is building a business, raising a family, and holding everything together. If there is a woman in your life whose story deserves more than your words, this is for you.
What does the 90-minute session actually look like?
Is this only for mothers?
My mom isn't well. Can she still participate?
Who is this for?
What if she is uncomfortable in front of a camera?
Yes! and she may be the most important candidate. This experience is designed to meet her exactly where she is. We come to her space, at her pace, and photograph her doing the things that are still hers. There is no posing, no performance, no pressure. We are simply there to witness her.

This experience was built around the mother-daughter relationship, but it is open to anyone whose family has a legacy worth documenting. A grandmother, a father, a grandparent. If there is someone whose story deserves to be told in more than words, reach out and we will talk.

Unhurried and observational. We follow her lead, her kitchen, her chair, her garden, her routines. We capture the ordinary moments that become everything. If you would like to be in a few photos together, we make sure that happens too.

That is exactly why we start with a pre-visit. Before the session I come to her space, meet her, and let her get comfortable with me. By the time we photograph, I am not a stranger. Most women forget the camera is there within the first few minutes.
